PALS (Renewal)

Service Description

This is the renewal PALS course. Completion of the PALS initial course is a required prerequisite for taking this course. course is instructor-led and video based class covering pediatric emergencies including different kinds of shock, airway management, medications, and algorithms. It will focus on team dynamics, communication skills, and the essentials to care for the pediatric patient. PALS description: This is a course for healthcare providers using instructor led video enhanced learning using simulations of emergent pediatric situations. Airway, pharmacology, ekg and recognition of the different types of treatment algorithms and team dynamics are featured. This course is to improve response time and treatment of the critically ill child. PALS Renewal: review of emergent pediatric algorithms and the skills to quickly treat and stabilize the patient. Course is 6 hours. 6 CEUS will be given after completion of both written and skill testing. Requirements: The student will bring a Current PALS Provider text book to class or have a e-book equivalent. This is required by a AHA mandate. A Precourse Self-assessment must be completed and a Printed copy be brought to class. No pictures of completion will be accepted.

Cancellation Policy

A place in the class has been reserved for you and space is limited. We understand that situations beyond your control may arise, requiring you to reschedule a class. Please give at least 48-hour notice if you are unable to attend. The participant is given one opportunity to reschedule within 60 days (Provider Courses) or the next available class of the original class date. All cancellations are subject to a $25 processing fee. Cancellations require a minimum of 24-hour notice before the start of the class and are only eligible for the initial class date. No refund will be given for cancellations on or after the day of the class. To cancel or reschedule a class, please give us a call.
